Environmental responsibility
Pollution
Bunyodkor not only supports environmental conservation but actively contributes to it. We continually seek ways to prevent potential harm and irreversible environmental damage. An expert council representing different groups in Koson District has been established to identify and address environmental issues.
To meet environmental requirements, a trial has begun on 500 hectares to grow 100% organic cotton without toxic chemicals. In the future, our fabrics and knitted clothing will be safe for end consumers, employees, surrounding communities and the natural environment.

We work with local representatives of the state environmental protection committee on inspections and preventing violations. The company plants new trees annually, maintains existing greenery, prevents harmful gas emissions and periodically analyses their composition.
Water
Our factories use membrane bioreactors to treat wastewater and reduce the use of clean drinking water in textile production. Salts, minerals and harmful impurities are removed with systems from the Turkish company Fuzyon. Rainwater collection and storage for factory utility needs have also been introduced.

Impact on supply and consumption
Knitted products made from natural materials benefit customers’ health and sustainable consumption. We communicate our values to buyers and suppliers and support partners who share our environmental position. Cotton plant waste is used as feed material for livestock facilities that meet environmental requirements.
Energy
As non-renewable energy resources decline, efficient energy use is essential. Solar panels supply basic and utility needs at the factory, while equipment from Germany, Switzerland and South Korea offers low energy consumption. A dedicated programme monitors consumption across all departments and administrative offices.
